We are delighted to share our end of year 2020 Annual Review. The report highlights the positive impact Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation has had on young people over the last year.
In this year’s review you will read how the pandemic forced us to manufacture a quite different programme of activities, focussing on local need to deliver a range of activities that provided joy, inspiration, and in some cases huge relief, to hundreds of children and their families. We are proud to have continued our work throughout this challenging period, adapting quickly to ensure we are doing everything we can to help young people at this time.
Director of Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation, Tim Shutt, said:
“All that most of us can do in the face of difficulty, be it brought on by international health crises, environmental change or social and economic deprivation, is to offer support and sunlight to whatever degree we can. Through the power of cricket and our beautiful surrounds, that is exactly what the Foundation sought to do last year, and what we will all strive to do in the years to come.”
Evidence of the impact of the pandemic on children and young people is already emerging. It is a critical time to focus on children and young people’s health and wellbeing, and we are developing our projects to reach more young people and to play our role in the post-pandemic recovery. We have many positive plans in place for 2021/22 and our new strategy sets out our vision to support and inspire young people by helping them to tackle the barriers in their lives and giving them the skills and confidence they need to to learn, grow and succeed.
The support of our partners, stakeholders and donors has helped us to make the programmes outlined in the review possible. With this continued support, we can create more positive opportunities and bring joy and inspiration back into young people’s lives through sport, education and the magic of Arundel.
