Further to the March Board meeting and the AGM, we are delighted to announce the new Chair of ACCF, David Kidd. David has replaced Peter Bristowe who undertook the role for 6 years. David is the son in law of the late Michael Melluish OBE, a former Chairman of ACCF and President of the MCC, and it is through that his love for all things Arundel Castle Cricket began. To read more about David’s background, please see the Our People section of our website: Our People – Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation.
David Kidd said:
“There are many who have reason to be grateful to Peter Bristow for his chairmanship over six years, not least the thousands of young people who have visited the Arundel Castle cricket ground for a magical experience. Thank you Peter on behalf of all those who are associated with the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation. I am delighted to succeed Peter and to be able to support Tim Shutt and his team to deliver the magic. I am looking forward to working with Tim, the trustees and our very good friends in the Arundel Castle Cricket Club. I also look forward to seeing the Foundation’s supporters at the loveliest of grounds. Thank you to all who contribute to the Foundation’s ability to do such good and important work.”
Departing Chair, Peter Bristowe, said:
It’s been an honour to have been the Chair of the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation for six years. I am extremely grateful to David Kidd for taking over from me. He brings great experience and connection with Arundel and will be well supported by the Trustees. Under Tim Shutt’s leadership, we have worked hard to identify those young people who would benefit most from the activities and experiences that a visit to the magical surroundings of Arundel offers. Collaboration and partnership has been the cornerstone of everything we do. The 2023 Annual Review is testimony to the impact that the Foundation has on young lives and the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen. The Foundation is a small charity making a big difference. At a time when unmet need is so great, I am confident that the Foundation will go from strength to strength.
