The trustees are committed to ensuring that a visit to Arundel will always be a joyful and life enhancing experience for the thousands of young people living difficult lives who visit us.

Arfan is a consultant in cricket for a number of organisations including the ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2019, England Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Essex Cricket Club (ECCC). Arfan worked with the Pakistan Cricket Team in the 2019 Cricket World Cup and his current role is supporting the diverse communities of East London in varying cricket programmes for Essex County Cricket Club to ensure the game is accessible for anyone and everyone, regardless of their background or personal situation.

My relationship with Arundel is a personal one and started at the age of 12, I was selected by my beloved Waltham Forest to play with my friends at the gorgeous Arundel Castle Cricket Ground and have visited every year since. I am completely bought in and at times blown away on the impact an Arundel visit has for those inner city children that have many challenges in their young lives, a visit at times is life changing, it certainly has been for me. I am truly humbled to be a Trustee.”

Mike played for Lancashire and England between 1987-2001 and is a former England Captain. Mike commentates for Sky Sports and is The Times cricket correspondent.

I spend most of my time involved with the elite side of the game, through commentary and writing. While I love being involved in Test matches and other international and county games, I have never forgotten that this represents a try slice of the game in this country. Being a trustee of the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation is a constant reminder of the real value of the game, and the wonderful surroundings in which it is played, and how those two things can combine to give young people a moment in time to remember.

Rob is a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP in London and lives with his family in East Sussex. He joined the ACCF board in November 2020.

‘”Arundel is a very special cricket ground and I have been very fortunate to play here on a number of occasions.  I am now very excited to continue my association with the ground through the Foundation.  It’s a fantastic privilege to be a Trustee of the ACCF and help provide that same experience to young, disadvantaged people with less opportunity to access this inspiring place.”

Harry is a Partner at Blackwood Group and lives in West Sussex with his family.

I have known Arundel and the Foundation for many years as I was fortunate to play cricket there for the first time over 30 years ago. I am delighted to be involved now as a Trustee in support of the excellent and continued work the Foundation does. To ensure that these efforts are relevant, sustainable and fun for all those involved is exciting and motivating.”

Alastair joined the ACCF board in May 2022.

David has had a legal career in Auckland, London and Hong Kong, as a partner of Allen & Overy and then Linklaters and now a consultant with Gibson Dunn.  David chaired the governors of Kellett School, the British International School in Hong Kong, for 14 years during which the roll grew from 500 to 1,400.  He now lives in the south of England (and for a few months in New Zealand) with his wife Sarah (Melluish).  They have three daughters, all of whom love cricket.

“Cricket is a game that can both transfix and transform, providing an oasis in which values are as important as statistics.  Through cricket, ACCF seeks to give deserving youngsters an experience to cherish and a boost in life.  Having been passionate about cricket as a player and supporter for as long as I can remember, I am delighted to be a trustee and to support the great work that ACCF does in the most beautiful of surroundings.”

“During my time in Sussex I have had many a happy day spent at Arundel watching children playing cricket and my son playing in the Cricketer cup. I have been privy to the wonderful work the ACCF do and I am very excited to be involved in such an exceptional and forward thinking charity.”

It is a great privilege for me to be a Trustee of the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation and I find it very humbling to have the opportunity to be part of a charity that can make such a difference to disadvantaged children and young people. The experience of Arundel can open these young people’s eyes to another world which many of us probably take for granted. Out of small acorns, big oaks grow.
