Breaking Boundaries
Groups of children from Capital Kids Cricket visit Arundel for a series of fun residential experiences combining educational, social and cricketing activities in a picturesque setting and world class cricket ground. The action-packed trip features cricket games and challenges, tours of the grounds and beach trips, providing an opportunity to get away from the city, hone cricket skills and explore the countryside while developing a range of life skills.
About the programme
Through our annual residential trips in partnership with Capital Kids Cricket, children from disadvantaged areas of London visit and play cricket at one of the UK’s most picturesque cricket grounds. Our inclusive cricket programmes offer young players the opportunity to put their skills to the test in match settings that would not normally be available, creating chances where they can not only develop their cricketing skills, but also important life and social skills such as resilience, communication and independence.
Beyond the cricket, these trips have a far greater impact on the children taking part. For some, it is their first experience of being away from London, for most it is their first experience of being away without their family and for everyone it is an opportunity to meet new people from different backgrounds and parts of London.
