Our 2021 Annual Report: New Experiences, New Horizons

We’re delighted to share with you our annual impact report ‘New Experiences, New Horizons’.  The report looks back on the positive impact the Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation has had on young people over the year 2021. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we delivered a full and wide-ranging programme adapting to a challenging and evolving environment to help over 1100 young people impacted by inequality, disadvantage or disability.  We continued to focus on children and young people from either London boroughs or who live in Sussex, offering our support by providing magical experiences that encourage development and learning opportunities through cricket, the outdoors and our unique, inspirational setting.

The support of our partners and donors has helped us to make the programmes featured in the report possible.  With this continued support, we have been able to reach and inspire more young people in more ways – thank you to everyone who supported us over the last year.

We have many exciting plans in place for 2022 and we are more determined than ever to use cricket, our ground and its surrounds to support and inspire young people by helping them to tackle the barriers in their lives and giving them the skills and confidence they need to learn, grow and succeed.  It is a critical time to focus on children and young people’s health and wellbeing, and we are developing our projects to reach more young people and to play our role in the post-pandemic recovery.

Director of Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation, Tim Shutt, said:

“With considerably less pandemic based disruption to contend with, we were able to deliver a full programme of activities, and it was a delight to bring joy and happiness back to the lives of over 1100 young people and their families. There is no doubt in my mind that the benefits of our work were heightened due to the greater challenges posed by the pandemic to the groups we work with.  We are as determined as ever to offer what we do to more young people facing disadvantage, in the various forms that can take, in 2022.”

We hope you enjoy reading about the projects we delivered in 2021, the partners we worked with and the many wonderful young people we supported during our 35th year.
